Is Hamleys right for You?
A quick guide to help you decide if Hamleys fits your needs before you buy.
Who should shop at Hamleys
Over 50,000 toy lines covering all major brands and categories ensures you'll find options across every age group and interest.
Standard UK mainland delivery is free for orders exceeding £35, making it easy to reach the threshold with just a couple of mid-range toys.
60 days to return unopened, unused items in resaleable condition provides flexibility compared to most retailers.
As the world's oldest toy store founded in 1760, Hamleys carries exclusive merchandise and a reputation for quality that appeals to collectors and gift-buyers.
Worth knowing before you buy
In-store prices at the Regent Street flagship location are significantly higher than online retailers and competitors, sometimes double the recommended retail price.
While the 60-day return window is generous, customers must pay for return postage to the warehouse, reducing the overall value proposition.
Hamleys does not currently offer a formal loyalty or rewards program, unlike many competitors in the toy retail sector.
Best for: Families seeking a wide selection of quality toys with free delivery on orders over £35, and gift-buyers looking for iconic brands and collectibles who prioritise convenience over the lowest prices.
